'Won't be first lady 24x7' if Donald Trump is re-elected, says Melania Trump Report

Melania Trump has reportedly negotiated an arrangement with her husband, Donald Trump, regarding her role as First Lady if he wins the presidency again. According to reports from Page Six, Melania intends to prioritize her son Barron's well-being, particularly as he prepares to potentially attend New York University later this year. As part of this agreement, she has expressed a desire not to be fully engaged in traditional first lady duties around the clock.

Sources close to the situation indicate that Melania plans to spend significant time in New York City to be close to Barron. This aligns with her past decisions, such as delaying her move to the White House in 2017 so Barron could finish the school year in New York without interruption.

If Donald Trump wins the presidency again, Melania is expected to split her time between Palm Beach and New York City, attending White House ceremonial events as necessary rather than making the White House her primary residence. This potential arrangement diverges from the longstanding tradition of first ladies being based in the White House.

Known for her protective stance towards Barron, Melania has consistently sought to shield him from public attention. She previously declined a delegate position for Barron at the Republican National Convention, citing prior commitments. Melania has also maintained a low profile during Donald Trump's recent campaign activities and legal proceedings.

When queried about her future plans, Melania's response has been simply to "stay tuned," indicating a deliberate approach to her role should her husband return to office.
