Kangana Ranaut recently shared that she had turned down roles in two highly successful Salman Khan films, *Bajrangi Bhaijaan* and *Sultan*. Despite her decisions to pass on these opportunities, she emphasized that her relationship with the actor remains positive and amicable.
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Kangana recounted her experiences with Salman Khan’s film offers. She revealed that Salman initially approached her with a role in *Bajrangi Bhaijaan*. However, she expressed her dissatisfaction with the role by saying, “Yeh kya role diya hai?” (What role have you given me?). Subsequently, Salman offered her a part in *Sultan*, but Kangana declined that as well. Salman, evidently puzzled, asked her, “What more do I offer to you now?”
The roles ultimately went to Kareena Kapoor Khan, who starred in *Bajrangi Bhaijaan*, and Anushka Sharma, who played the female lead in *Sultan*. Despite her decision to pass on these major roles, Kangana spoke highly of Salman Khan, praising his kindness and continued support.
Kangana shared a story that highlighted Salman Khan’s supportive nature. She mentioned that Salman had expressed interest in her film *Emergency* and asked a mutual friend to view it on his behalf. Although Salman himself did not watch the film immediately, he later called Kangana to tell her that he had heard good things about it. Kangana found this gesture to be a testament to Salman’s considerate and supportive attitude.
In addition to her experiences with Salman Khan, Kangana also discussed other high-profile offers she turned down. She revealed that Ranbir Kapoor had requested her participation in *Sanju*, a biographical film about Sanjay Dutt, but she chose not to accept the role. Similarly, Akshay Kumar had invited her to join the cast of *Singh is Bliing*. When she declined this offer, Akshay playfully responded, “You don’t want to work with me. You have a problem with me.”
Looking ahead, Kangana Ranaut is set to appear in the film *Emergency*, where she portrays former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film is anticipated to be released on September 6, and Kangana’s portrayal of such a significant historical figure is expected to be a major highlight of her career.
