Allu Arjun gives the victims of the Wayanad landslide Rs 25 lakh and begs for their safety


Actor Allu Arjun has shown heartfelt support for the victims of the catastrophic landslides in Wayanad, Kerala, which occurred on July 30. The actor, known for his roles in popular films like *Pushpa*, has donated a substantial amount of Rs 25 lakh to the Kerala Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to aid in the extensive rehabilitation efforts required for the affected regions.

In a moving post on X, Allu Arjun expressed his deep sorrow over the tragedy and his desire to contribute to the relief efforts. He wrote, “I am deeply saddened by the recent landslide in Wayanad. Kerala has always given me so much love, and I want to do my bit by donating Rs 25 lakh to the Kerala CM Relief Fund to support the rehabilitation work. Praying for your safety and strength. @CMOKerala.” His gesture is seen as a significant contribution to the ongoing efforts to support and rebuild the affected communities.

The landslides that struck Wayanad have proven to be devastating, with reports confirming that over 360 lives have been lost due to the calamity. The landslides occurred in the areas of Chooralmala and Mundakkai, resulting in widespread destruction. The situation is dire, and the rescue operations are in full force, with over 1,300 rescuers working tirelessly alongside heavy machinery to locate and assist survivors trapped in the debris.

In a related development, renowned actor Mohanlal, who holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Territorial Army, visited the landslide-affected areas on August 3. Clad in his army uniform, Mohanlal first met with officers to coordinate efforts before heading to the disaster-stricken regions. His presence and support are a testament to his ongoing commitment to service, as he has been actively involved in providing aid and solidarity during such crises.

The rescue operations have faced numerous challenges, with difficult terrain and weather conditions complicating the search for survivors. Despite these obstacles, the efforts continue, and there is a strong emphasis on providing necessary aid to those who have been displaced and are in urgent need of assistance.
