Images: Kim Kardashian posts "lost files" from her trip to India

Kim Kardashian attended the lavish wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in India, a significant event that marked her first visit to the country. Accompanied by her sister, Khloe Kardashian, Kim participated in the celebrations and shared previously unseen photos from her trip, which included her outfit and jewelry trials for the wedding festivities.

For the wedding, Kim chose to wear a stunning red saree designed by the renowned Indian fashion designer Manish Malhotra. On the second day of the festivities, she opted for a dusty peach lehenga created by another esteemed designer, Tarun Tahiliani. Kim shared numerous photos from her India visit that had not been posted on Instagram before, captioning them "India lost files (sic)," giving her followers a glimpse into her experience.

Tarun Tahiliani, in an interview with IndiaToday., detailed the experience of dressing Kim for the high-profile wedding. He explained the meticulous process, highlighting that they had to fit her the night before the event due to her specific body type. Tahiliani mentioned that while in China, he found a mannequin that closely resembled Kim's body, which he then brought back to India to ensure a perfect fit. He praised Kim's appearance in his design and appreciated how she embraced her curves, noting that her influence helps Indian women appreciate their own curvaceousness.

He elaborated, "With Kim, you don’t get time. We were contacted by her stylist, Tanya, who's a wonderful person, and they're very meticulous. We had to fit the night before. And Kim's got a very particular body. But I was lucky I was in China and I found a mannequin that looked like her body. I just bought it and flew it back on the plane with me. It felt like I was fitting Kim, even though she wasn't here."

Tahiliani continued, "I thought she looked terrific and I loved it. I said to her, ‘You freed Indian women to love their curves’. It doesn't matter if you have a hip. Fashion has become very constricting for a lot of people. Why should we take a Western person's idea of what a body is? Our bodies are different, our shapes are different, our culture is different. It takes Kim to make people understand that curvaceousness can be beautiful."

He also said, "It was all very rushed, but they were very professional. I didn't even go to Bombay. Mansha [Sahni, couture designer] went to head it. She fitted her. They were terrific. And it was pleasurable because they were delighted, happy, and excited. Fashion and anything, if it is good energy, it's fun. You can deal with pressure if there's good energy."

Before their arrival, sources exclusively informed IndiaToday. that Kim and Khloe would document the Ambani wedding for their Hulu reality show, "The Kardashians." The duo brought their entire glam team, including renowned hairstylist Chris Appleton and filming producers, to capture their Mumbai journey from arrival, through the Ambani wedding, to their departure. This documentation aimed to provide an intimate look at their experiences and interactions during the high-profile event, adding another layer of glamour and intrigue to their popular reality series.

The Ambani wedding, known for its opulence and grandeur, provided a perfect backdrop for Kim and Khloe to showcase their stunning outfits and share their experiences with their global audience. The presence of the Kardashians at such a significant event highlighted the cross-cultural appeal and influence of both the Ambani family and the Kardashian-Jenner clan, bridging the gap between Hollywood glamour and Indian tradition.
