Google has recently unveiled its latest array of Pixel devices in India, including the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro smartphones, along with two new wearables: the Pixel Watch 3 and the Pixel Buds Pro 2. The launch underscores Google’s renewed focus on the Indian market, highlighting both advancements in technology and a commitment to enhancing user experiences through innovative features.
The **Pixel Watch 3** is introduced at a starting price of Rs 39,990 for the 41mm variant, with the 45mm model priced at Rs 43,900. Both variants will be available only in Wi-Fi configurations in India. The Pixel Watch 3 boasts a refined design and enhanced functionality, offering users two size options to cater to different preferences. The 45mm version features a 40% larger screen compared to its predecessor, while the 41mm variant sees a 10% increase in screen area due to slimmer bezels. The display is notable for its high brightness capability, reaching up to 2,000 nits, and its ability to dim to 1 nit, making it versatile for various lighting conditions.
Battery life is a significant upgrade for the Pixel Watch 3, with Google promising all-day usage thanks to improved display technology and the new Wear OS 5. The 45mm model comes with a battery that is 35% larger than the previous generation, while the 41mm model offers 20% faster charging. A new Battery Saver Mode extends usage up to 36 hours without compromising essential functionalities like health tracking. The watch includes advanced fitness and recovery tools, including machine-learning-driven sleep tracking that activates Bedtime Mode to conserve battery by disabling notifications and the always-on display.
The **Pixel Buds Pro 2** are priced at Rs 22,900 and are Google's latest wireless earbuds, arriving more than two years after their predecessors. They feature Google's custom-designed Tensor A1 chip, enhancing audio processing and AI capabilities. The new earbuds are designed to deliver clear, balanced sound and feature improved Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) with Silent Seal 2.0 technology. This updated ANC system is capable of canceling twice as much noise as previous models, helping users focus on their audio content without external distractions.
Comfort and fit are key considerations for the Pixel Buds Pro 2, designed to accommodate various ear shapes and sizes. They offer hands-free interaction with Google's AI assistant, Gemini, enabling voice command controls and information retrieval. The Gemini Live feature allows for extended conversations with Google's latest speech technology, providing a more natural and responsive user experience.
In terms of battery life, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 offer up to 8 hours of usage with ANC enabled and up to 30 hours with the charging case. They also support fast charging, providing up to three hours of listening time from just a 15-minute charge.
Both the Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Buds Pro 2 will be available for purchase later this year in India, alongside the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL, with specific release dates yet to be announced. Pre-orders for the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL will begin on August 14, with availability through Flipkart, Reliance Digital, and Croma.
