At Reliance Industries' 47th Annual General Meeting, chairman Mukesh Ambani unveiled an exciting development for Jio users: the Jio AI-Cloud Welcome Offer. This initiative, launching around Diwali this year, promises to provide users with up to 100 GB of free cloud storage. This move aligns with Reliance's vision of integrating artificial intelligence into everyday services, encapsulated by their slogan "AI Everywhere For Everyone."
The new cloud storage offering is designed to enhance the digital experience for Jio users by providing a secure and reliable platform to manage their digital content. Users will be able to store and access their photos, videos, documents, and other digital files with ease. For those who need additional storage beyond the complimentary 100 GB, Jio plans to offer highly competitive pricing on higher storage plans.
The Jio AI-Cloud Welcome Offer is set to roll out to all users starting this Diwali. To access the offer, users will need to follow straightforward steps that will be detailed closer to the launch date. The free cloud storage can be used not only for personal needs but also integrated into Jio's expanding array of services.
The new AI cloud service will support various Jio innovations. For instance, the upcoming Jio TvOS, a home-grown operating system for Jio Set Top Boxes, promises a faster, smoother, and more personalized viewing experience. This operating system will support Ultra HD 4K video, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos, providing a premium entertainment experience.
Additionally, Jio is integrating its Home IoT solutions with Jio TvOS to enhance home intelligence. These solutions will adhere to the latest industry standards, such as Matter, ensuring seamless operation of smart devices from a unified platform. This integration aims to make homes smarter and more connected, catering to the growing demand for Internet of Things (IoT) devices.
The JioTV+ platform will further enrich the entertainment experience by combining live TV, on-demand shows, and various apps into one interface. Users will have access to over 860 live TV channels and content from popular streaming services like Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and Hotstar, all available in high definition.
Another significant addition is Jio Phonecall AI, which will enhance phone call functionalities using artificial intelligence. This new service will enable users to record, store, transcribe, summarize, and translate phone calls, with all data managed through the Jio Cloud.Â
These advancements reflect Reliance's commitment to leveraging technology to improve user experiences and underscore Jio's role in driving digital transformation in India.
