Reliance Jio has unveiled a series of new international roaming (IR) packs tailored to a broad array of popular travel destinations. These newly introduced packs aim to enhance connectivity for Jio users traveling to regions such as the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Canada, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, as well as multiple countries across Europe and the Caribbean.
These IR packs are designed to offer comprehensive coverage in 24 Caribbean nations and 32 European countries. The packs include a range of features like unlimited incoming SMS and outgoing calls, which cover both local calls within the visited country and calls back to India. Additionally, incoming calls can be received from any country, and Wi-Fi calling is supported for these incoming calls. However, it is important to note that outgoing local and international calls, as well as SMS sent over Wi-Fi, are not included in these packs.
For those heading to the UAE, Jio offers three distinct plans. The most basic plan is priced at Rs 898 and includes 100 minutes of outgoing calls (covering both local and calls back to India), 100 minutes of incoming calls, 1GB of data, and 100 SMS, all valid for 7 days. A more robust option is available at Rs 1,598, providing 150 minutes of both outgoing and incoming calls, 3GB of data, and a 14-day validity. The top-tier plan costs Rs 2,998 and includes 250 minutes of outgoing and incoming calls, 7GB of data, and a 21-day validity.
For travellers to Saudi Arabia, Jio has introduced a starting plan priced at Rs 891. This plan includes 100 minutes of calls, 1GB of data, 20 SMS, and is valid for 7 days. Another option at Rs 2,891 provides 150 minutes of calls, 5GB of data, and 100 SMS, with a 30-day validity.
In Canada, Jio offers a plan priced at Rs 1,691, which provides 100 minutes of calls, 5GB of data, and 50 SMS, valid for 14 days. There is also a more extensive plan for Rs 2,881 that includes 150 minutes of calls, 10GB of data, 100 SMS, and a validity of 30 days.
For those traveling to Thailand, Jio has introduced a plan priced at Rs 1,551. This plan offers 100 minutes of outgoing and incoming calls, 6GB of data, and 50 SMS, with a validity of 14 days. Alternatively, a plan priced at Rs 2,851 provides 150 minutes of calls, 12GB of data, and 100 SMS, with a 30-day validity.
For European countries, Jio has rolled out an IR pack priced at Rs 2,899. This pack covers 32 countries and includes 100 minutes of outgoing and incoming calls, 5GB of data, and 100 SMS, valid for 30 days.
In the Caribbean, the packs start at Rs 1,671 and cover 24 countries. This pack includes 150 minutes of outgoing calls, 50 minutes of incoming calls, 1GB of data, and 50 SMS, with a validity of 14 days. The premium pack for the Caribbean, priced at Rs 3,851, offers 200 minutes of calls, 4GB of data, 100 SMS, and a 30-day validity. Additionally, this premium pack includes free in-flight benefits, adding extra value for travelers.
