The CEO of Huawei said that the company's three-fold smartphone will launch next month

Huawei is preparing to make waves in the smartphone market with its upcoming tri-fold device, which is set to be the first-ever smartphone featuring a triple fold. The launch of this innovative smartphone is anticipated for September, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of foldable technology.

The tri-fold smartphone from Huawei promises to offer a substantial 10-inch screen, which, when unfolded, will function similarly to a tablet divided into three distinct sections. This advancement reflects Huawei's commitment to pushing the boundaries of smartphone design and technology. The device's design includes two hinges, creating two creases on the screen, unlike traditional foldable smartphones that typically have only one hinge. This design is expected to bring new functionalities and user experiences to the foldable market.

Huawei's CEO of the consumer business division, Richard Yu, has been seen with the tri-fold device on multiple occasions, further fueling speculation and excitement. At a recent event, Yu confirmed the device's imminent release, responding to an inquiry about the tri-fold smartphone by stating that it would be available "next month." This indicates that official teasers and announcements may be forthcoming soon.

Although Huawei has not yet released official details, rumors suggest that the device will feature advanced specifications. It is expected to be powered by a Kirin 9-series processor, which would provide robust performance and efficiency. The tri-fold design, combined with a large 10-inch display, aims to offer a versatile and immersive experience, catering to both productivity and entertainment needs.

The tri-fold smartphone is rumored to fall within the Mate series, potentially launching before the Mate 70. However, with the Mate 70's release facing delays, the tri-fold device's timeline might also be affected. This forthcoming smartphone will join other notable foldable devices in the market, such as the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series, Moto Razr lineup, and Vivo X Fold series. None of these current models feature a triple-fold design, making Huawei's upcoming device a groundbreaking addition to the foldable technology landscape.

Overall, Huawei's venture into the tri-fold smartphone market highlights the company's innovative approach and ambition to redefine the boundaries of mobile technology. The release of this device is eagerly awaited, and it promises to set new standards in the world of foldable smartphones.
