Bangladesh pacer Nahid Rana has voiced strong confidence in his team's preparedness for their forthcoming tour of India, which is set to commence with a Test series starting on September 19. In a video shared on Bangladesh Cricket's official X account, Nahid Rana elaborated on the team’s rigorous preparation for the India series. He highlighted that the squad has been engaged in intensive training sessions, aiming to hone their skills and strategies for the challenges ahead. Rana expressed a clear belief that their preparation will enhance their performance on the field. He acknowledged the strength of the Indian team but maintained that success will ultimately depend on which side executes their game plan more effectively. "Obviously we are well prepared for the India series. We have started training. The more we are prepared, the better we will be in execution during the matches," Rana stated. "India is a good team, but the team that plays better cricket will win. We will see when we go there."
Nahid also shared insights into his personal approach to fast bowling, particularly regarding his pace. While he has managed to reach speeds of 152 mph, Rana explained that he does not specifically aim for such velocities. Instead, his primary focus remains on executing the team's strategic plans and maintaining an effective rhythm. "I will strive to give my best. Pace is something you can’t always predict – it depends a lot on rhythm. Sometimes, it just clicks, and suddenly you find yourself hitting those speeds. I never set out to clock 152 mph or push past that. I just focused on executing the team’s plan. My friends and folks back in the village are really happy about my achievement," he shared.
