Priyanka Chopra reveals the secret behind the 'namaste' pose during Miss World 2000: I was trying to

Priyanka Chopra recently shared a poignant and nostalgic experience from her life, reflecting on her return to the O2 Arena in London, a venue that holds a cherished place in her heart. On September 16, 2024, Priyanka attended a concert by her husband, Nick Jonas, and his brothers at the same venue where she was crowned Miss World in 2000. At that time, the venue was known as the Millennium Dome.

In her heartfelt Instagram post, Priyanka reminisced about her historic win and the challenges she faced during that event. She vividly described the difficulties she encountered while trying to maintain her composure and keep her dress in place. "I was balancing on pencil heels and trying to keep my dress from falling off the entire evening," Priyanka recounted. She humorously revealed that the iconic 'namaste' pose she struck in photos was, in fact, an effort to keep her dress up rather than a gesture of gratitude as many might have assumed. "If you Google the pictures, you’ll see that after I won, I look like I’m doing a namaste in gratitude, but I’m actually desperately trying to keep my dress up. Clearly, I survived and it was all well in the end," she wrote.

The 42-year-old actor’s return to the O2 Arena with her two-year-old daughter, Malti, surrounded by family and friends was a deeply emotional and full-circle moment for her. Priyanka expressed her gratitude and joy at being able to experience such a significant event in her life again, but this time in the role of a proud wife and mother. "To be back here watching my husband and his brothers perform with my daughter, family, and friends is such a full circle. Life has been good. Gratitude," she shared.

Her post also included heartwarming photographs from the concert, capturing moments of joy and intimacy, including a tender kiss shared with Nick Jonas while their daughter playfully covered her eyes.

On the professional front, Priyanka Chopra is busy with her ongoing projects. She has resumed shooting for the second season of the highly anticipated series "Citadel," and is also eagerly awaiting the release of her Marathi production, "Paani," which is directed by Adinath Kothare. This film marks a significant addition to her diverse portfolio and reflects her continued commitment to exploring various facets of cinema.
