On September 9, Bollywood icon Akshay Kumar is celebrating his 57th birthday, and the occasion has been marked by a special announcement from Telugu actor Vishnu Manchu. Vishnu took to his official X handle to share a teaser poster of Akshay Kumar from his upcoming Telugu mythological film, *Kannappa*. In this highly anticipated film, Akshay Kumar is set to portray the revered Hindu deity Lord Shiva, a role that has stirred significant excitement among fans and moviegoers alike.

The poster shared by Vishnu Manchu features Akshay Kumar in a dramatic pose as Lord Shiva. While his face is shrouded in mystery, the poster highlights his powerful and sculpted arms, adorned with a rudraksha mala, symbolizing his divine essence. Vishnu Manchu extended warm birthday wishes to Akshay Kumar, saying, “Happy Birthday to the one and only Mr. Akshay Kumar! Best wishes on your special day (sic).”

*Kannappa*, directed by Mukesh Kumar, is a mythological epic that is currently nearing its completion. The film's teaser was first showcased at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in May, generating considerable buzz and interest. Following its international debut, the teaser was released to Indian audiences on June 14, receiving positive feedback for its high-action sequences and engaging visuals. The film features notable cameos by prominent actors, including Prabhas, Mohanlal, and Kajal Aggarwal, adding to the film's star-studded appeal.

The shooting of *Kannappa* took place against the stunning backdrop of New Zealand, providing a visually captivating setting for the mythological narrative. Produced by Ava Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory, the film boasts a musical score composed by Mani Sharma and Stephen Devasi, promising a rich auditory experience to complement its visual grandeur. 

*Kannappa* is based on the legendary story of Kannappa, a devoted worshipper of Lord Shiva, and is expected to offer a deep dive into the themes of devotion and spirituality. The film is slated for a theatrical release in December 2024, and anticipation is high for what promises to be an epic portrayal of divine devotion and mythological grandeur.
