Angelina Jolie will auction her antique 1958 Ferrari 250 GT

Hollywood star Angelina Jolie is set to auction a stunning vintage 1958 Ferrari 250 GT, which boasts a rich history and impressive design, at Christie’s “Exceptional Sale” scheduled for November 20 in Paris. This remarkable black coupe, featuring elegant coachwork by the renowned Pininfarina SpA, is a rare gem among car enthusiasts, being one of only 353 models ever produced between 1955 and 1960. The auction house has projected that the classic car could fetch a significant price, estimated between €600,000 (approximately ₹5.5 crore) and €800,000 (around ₹7.3 crore).

Originally painted in a striking white and blue combination, the Ferrari was likely repainted in 1978 to its current sleek black finish. Additionally, its interior was updated from the original black to a bold red, enhancing its visual appeal. The car retains its original engine, but it comes with some uncertainty regarding its mechanical condition and the extent of its original components, as critical details surrounding its provenance and service history have not been disclosed. The odometer currently reads 64,244 miles, which indicates that the car has been used, but specific information about its upkeep remains unclear.

This rare Ferrari will be showcased for public viewing at Christie’s Paris showroom on November 14, 16, and 20, allowing enthusiasts and potential buyers to admire its craftsmanship up close before the auction takes place. The excitement surrounding this auction reflects not only the car's rarity and historical significance but also Angelina Jolie's stature as a prominent figure in Hollywood, adding to the allure of the vehicle.

As the auction date approaches, many are eager to see how this iconic piece of automotive history will perform on the market, given the growing interest in classic cars among collectors. The 1958 Ferrari 250 GT represents more than just a mode of transportation; it encapsulates a legacy of design excellence and craftsmanship that has captivated car lovers for decades. With Jolie's involvement, this auction is expected to attract significant attention from collectors and enthusiasts alike, eager to own a piece of automotive history.
