Fauji 2: SRK's iconic 1989 series will comeback with Vicky Jain and Gauahar Khan in major roles

Shah Rukh Khan's iconic television series *Fauji*, which originally aired in 1989, is set to make a much-anticipated comeback with a modern version titled *Fauji 2*. *Fauji 2* will spotlight Vicky Jain as Colonel Sanjay Singh and Gauahar Khan as Lieutenant Colonel Simarjeet Kaur, a skilled cadet trainer specializing in weaponry. This marks a significant moment for Jain, as it introduces him to mainstream television after previously appearing in reality shows such as *Bigg Boss 17*. The casting choice highlights a blend of established and emerging talent, as the series will also bring 12 new actors into the entertainment industry. Among them are Aashish Bhardwaj, Utkarsh Kohli, Charkhi Dadri, Rudra Soni, Aman Singh Deep, Ayaan Manchanda, Niel Satpuda, Suvansh Dhar, Priyanshu Rajguru, Udit Kapur, Maansi, and Sushmita Bhandari, all playing pivotal roles.

In discussing the significance of *Fauji 2*, director Sandeep Singh expressed his enthusiasm about reviving one of television’s greatest shows. He stated, “We are bringing back one of the greatest shows ever seen on television but in a new and exciting version. The 1989 *Fauji* gave us Shah Rukh Khan, an actor who captivated the entire nation not just with his unconventional looks but with his extraordinary energy and talent. With *Fauji 2*, I hope to recreate history and connect with every Indian, especially the youth.” This commitment to honoring the past while innovating for the present is a core theme of the project.

To enhance the show's appeal, renowned singer Sonu Nigam has lent his voice to the title track, contributing to the musical richness of the series. The show features a total of 11 songs, with music composed by Shreyas Puranik. Additionally, music directors Shashi Suman and Jazim Sharma have made contributions, while lyrics have been crafted by Prashant Ingole, Mahimma Bhardwaj, and Abhendra Kumar Upadhyay. This musical element promises to elevate the emotional depth of the series and resonate with audiences.

*Fauji 2* is produced by Sandeep Singh and co-produced by Vikas Jain and Zafar Mehdi. It also marks the directorial debut of Abhinav Pareek, who previously directed *Sab Moh Maaya Hai* and *A Wedding Story*, adding further depth to the creative team behind the series.

Aiming for inclusivity, the show will be broadcast in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Punjabi, and Bengali. This multilingual approach is designed to broaden its reach and make the series accessible to diverse audiences across India. As anticipation builds for *Fauji 2*, fans of the original series and new viewers alike eagerly await the return of this iconic show, hoping it will capture the spirit and excitement that made *Fauji* a memorable part of Indian television history.
