In the midst of this political maneuvering, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut raised grave concerns regarding alleged manipulation of the voters' list. Raut has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of tampering with the electoral rolls in an underhanded attempt to weaken the MVA’s chances in the elections. He claimed that the BJP, in collaboration with the Election Commission, was systematically removing the names of voters who had previously supported the MVA in earlier elections. Raut alleged that names were being removed in at least 50 constituencies, labeling this development a "highly serious issue." He pointed fingers at Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Maharashtra BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule, asserting that they are involved in this alleged electoral malpractice.
