Tamil superstar Suriya recently held an engaging press conference in Bengaluru, where he expressed his hopes for audiences to celebrate yet another Diwali on November 14, the much-anticipated release date of his upcoming film, *Kanguva*. Produced by the esteemed Gnanavel Raja's Studio Green and UV Creations, this pan-Indian film has already generated significant excitement among fans, evident from the enthusiastic response to its promotional materials. Directed by Siva, *Kanguva* is positioned as a grand fantasy action drama set in medieval times, featuring Suriya in the titular role and Bobby Deol as the formidable antagonist.

During the press conference, Suriya shared heartfelt sentiments about the film, stating, “I hope we have another Diwali on November 14.” His optimism radiated through the gathering, and he emphasized the passion and dedication that went into the making of *Kanguva*, declaring, “Kanguva has been made with a lot of love — it’s not for money, but we invested a lot of love and time because we wanted to give you something special like Kanguva.” His words reflected the personal commitment he has towards his craft and the film, further illustrating the deep bond he feels with his fans. Suriya poignantly remarked, “When there are fans who shower unconditional love, even if I don’t appear on screen frequently, it feels like the kind of love I’d call a ‘mother’s love.’ I think it’s my responsibility to give them a film like this.” This profound statement highlights the significance of connecting with his audience through meaningful storytelling, showcasing his understanding of the emotional impact of cinema.

The actor also took a moment to reflect on the evolving standards in the film industry, recognizing the significant influence of visionary filmmakers like SS Rajamouli, whose groundbreaking works such as *Baahubali* and *RRR* have set new benchmarks for Indian cinema. Suriya noted, “We all have to push ourselves and raise the bar, thanks to Rajamouli sir. He started it all, and *KGF* and *Kantara* have shown us the way too. They’ve demonstrated how creative and courageous creators can be and how audiences across our country support good content.” This acknowledgment underscores Suriya's awareness of the broader cinematic landscape and the importance of striving for excellence in filmmaking, positioning *Kanguva* as a film that aspires to uphold these high standards.

When discussing *Kanguva*, Suriya asserted, “With that same intention, Kanguva was made. We have created something that hasn’t been done before; something we can all be proud of.” His enthusiasm was palpable as he shared insights into his experience working on the film, urging audiences to rally behind his endeavor. Speaking in Tamil, he encouraged collective support by stating, “Oor koodithaan ther izhuka mudiyum,” which translates to “Only when the community unites can they move the chariot.” This call to action reinforces the idea that the film's success depends not only on the actors but also on the unity and support of the community, emphasizing the collaborative spirit inherent in filmmaking.

Suriya took a moment to express his heartfelt gratitude to the Kannada distribution team, particularly KVN Productions, while also acknowledging the hard work and dedication of the entire *Kanguva* crew. He commended the tireless efforts of cinematographer Vetri Palanisamy and music composer Devi Sri Prasad, noting that they pushed their creative limits to bring the film to life. Suriya revealed an intriguing technical aspect of the cinematography: “No additional lights were used in the film's cinematography; Vetri relied solely on natural light.” This innovative approach highlights the film's authenticity and commitment to crafting a visually stunning experience, showcasing the team's dedication to realism and artistry.

With confidence and excitement, Suriya stated, “I’m sure you all will be transported back to a world set 700 to 1,000 years ago, and for two and a half hours, you will be with us in that world.” His vivid imagery painted a picture of the immersive experience audiences can expect, creating anticipation for the film's release. He also paid tribute to the late art director Milan and editor Nishad Yusuf, who contributed significantly to the film before their untimely passing, dedicating the film to their memory as a heartfelt gesture of respect. In closing, Suriya expressed his sincere hopes for the release: “Hoping that on November 14, it will be a celebration in theatres with your love and support across the globe.” His words encapsulate the spirit of unity and celebration that he envisions for the film, inviting audiences to join him in this cinematic journey and experience the magic of storytelling that transcends boundaries.
