As Samsung's highly anticipated January 2025 launch event draws near, fresh leaks have begun to surface, offering a closer look at the design of the upcoming Galaxy S25+. These leaks follow earlier reports detailing the design and specs of the Galaxy S25 Ultra model, which showcased round corners. The most recent leaks suggest that the Galaxy S25+ will retain much of the same design language as its predecessor, the S24+.
Additionally, new leaks have revealed the possible color options for the Galaxy S25 series, hinting at a variety of hues that could be available upon launch. These color options add an exciting dimension to the upcoming release, giving fans a glimpse into the aesthetic choices Samsung may offer.
The newly leaked images of the Samsung Galaxy S25+ provide a clear view of the device from the front, rear, and side. As expected, the design closely mirrors that of the Galaxy S24+, with only a few minor tweaks. The leaked images, which prominently feature the Midnight Black colorway, show the phone maintaining the same rounded edges and thin bezels on all sides. While the bottom of the device is blurred to conceal sensitive details, there’s little indication of any major design overhaul, such as a larger chin bezel. The top of the phone includes a sticker, though it is expected that Samsung will continue to use a pinhole front camera, much like the S24+.
One noticeable change on the rear of the device is the darker camera rings, which give the rear panel a more refined, almost black appearance. This change could be exclusive to the Midnight Black variant or could be a design update across all color options for the S25+. On the left side of the device, the design remains largely unchanged, with the volume rocker and power button positioned in a similar configuration to the S24+.
Ahead of the Galaxy S25+ reveal, a tipster on Bluesky (a social media platform akin to X) shared images of a dummy version of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The S25 Ultra may feature slightly rounded corners, departing from the sharp edges seen on previous models. While the overall design remains boxy, the smoother corners contribute to a more refined and modern look.
On the rear panel of the S25 Ultra, there is a distinctive camera setup, consisting of three large rings and two smaller ones, housing a total of four image sensors. The camera rings have a textured appearance, similar to the design of the Galaxy Z Fold 6, with the outer ring maintaining a polished finish.
While these leaks provide a tantalizing preview of what's to come, Samsung’s official reveal at the Unpacked event on January 22, 2025, will be the final confirmation of the S25+ and S25 Ultra's design and features. Until then, fans will have to wait for the company's official announcements to see how closely these leaks align with the actual devices.
