Next Christmas, Jack Black and Paul Rudd's The Anaconda will be showing in theaters

Comedy legends Jack Black and Paul Rudd are teaming up for what promises to be one of the most entertaining holiday films of 2025. Their upcoming project, The Anaconda, blends horror with comedy and is set for a Christmas 2025 release. The announcement was made in a hilarious, high-energy video where both stars interacted with their signature charm and humor, setting the tone for the wild ride ahead.

In the video, the dynamic duo couldn’t contain their excitement as they hyped up the film. Jack Black kicked things off with his usual exuberance, saying, "Hey, what's up, people? We're making a movie! Paul Rudd and Jack Black star in The Anaconda. There's gonna be a big fu**ing snake, and it's gonna rip!" His enthusiasm was infectious, and Paul Rudd quickly added to the banter, showcasing his trademark wit. "You wanna get scared. You wanna laugh. You wanna celebrate with your friends. Or maybe you're alone, feeling sad, but just want to forget about that. The Anaconda is coming out on Christmas 2025," Rudd quipped, hinting at the emotional rollercoaster that the film will deliver.

Behind the scenes, the film is being directed by Tom Gormican, best known for The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, and co-written by Gormican alongside Kevin Etten. While details about the plot and the characters they’ll be playing remain tightly under wraps, the mystery surrounding it only serves to amplify the intrigue and excitement among fans.

One thing is clear, though—this version of The Anaconda won’t be a remake of the 1997 cult classic that starred Jennifer Lopez, Owen Wilson, and Ice Cube. The original movie, known for its high tension and a deadly giant snake, followed a National Geographic crew trapped by a deranged hunter played by Jon Voight. This new Anaconda, however, promises a fresh, thrilling take on the concept, mixing the elements of horror and comedy in a way that only Black and Rudd could pull off.

Though the precise storyline is still under wraps, The Anaconda is expected to pack plenty of scares, laughs, and drama, along with the type of offbeat humor and wild antics that Black and Rudd are famous for. As Christmas 2025 approaches, fans can look forward to an exciting cinematic experience that balances humor and terror, making for an unforgettable holiday treat.
