Shiva Shakti: Varanasi will see the release of Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi's Thandel song

The second single from the highly anticipated film Thandel, starring Sai Pallavi and Naga Chaitanya, is set for release on December 22. Titled "Shiva Shakti," this track is expected to be a powerful blend of spirituality and emotion. The grand launch of the song will take place at the ghats of Kashi, a location rich in cultural and religious significance, which adds to the mystique and reverence surrounding the song’s release. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti and produced by Bunny Vas under the Geetha Arts banner, Thandel is scheduled for a theatrical release on February 7, 2025.

Naga Chaitanya took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share the exciting news, accompanied by a new poster from the film. He wrote, "Can’t wait to share with you the gentle fury of Shiva and Shakti coming together. Thandel's second song, Shiva Shakti, on 22 December. Grand Launch at the Divine Ghats of Kashi." This statement hints at the intensity and energy the track will carry, showcasing a dynamic portrayal of the powerful union of Shiva and Shakti. The poster itself offers a glimpse into the film’s visual grandeur, featuring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi striking a powerful pose as Shiva and Shakti. They are seen surrounded by a crowd dressed in traditional attire, complementing the song’s deep spiritual and cultural theme.

The song was shot at the stunning Sri Mukhalingam Shiva temple in Srikakulam, an iconic location that adds to the richness of the film’s backdrop. This location is deeply tied to the spiritual and cultural essence of the story, and the vibrant atmosphere of a Jathara celebration, which is captured in the song, further enhances the song's powerful appeal. With choreography by Sekhar Master, the track promises to be visually captivating and emotionally stirring, combining the rich traditions of Indian culture with a modern cinematic twist.

Thandel has already created a buzz, particularly with its first single, "Bujji Thalli," which has racked up over 30 million views, fueling even more anticipation for the full release of the film. The movie’s narrative revolves around Naga Chaitanya’s character, a fisherman who faces the harsh realities of coastal life. The story is rooted in real incidents from coastal communities, making it both relatable and thought-provoking. The film also tackles significant cross-border themes, specifically focusing on the dynamics between India and Pakistan. Sai Pallavi’s role promises to be a gripping one, with her performance expected to be intense and transformative, creating an engaging contrast to Chaitanya’s character.

The music for Thandel, composed by the talented Devi Sri Prasad, is another key element that has fans eagerly awaiting the film’s release. Devi Sri Prasad’s ability to create songs that connect deeply with the audience is sure to play a pivotal role in the film’s success. This is the second collaboration between Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, who had previously paired up in Love Story to great acclaim. Their chemistry, along with their combined star power and acting prowess, adds to the immense anticipation surrounding Thandel.

With its compelling storyline, powerful performances, evocative music, and stunning visuals, Thandel is shaping up to be one of the most eagerly awaited films of 2025. The anticipation surrounding "Shiva Shakti" and the film’s eventual release is bound to build even further as more details emerge in the coming weeks, making Thandel a cinematic experience that fans are sure to remember for years to come.
