After Saif rescued Jeh from the assailant, Karisma showed me her house: Kareena to the police

Actor Kareena Kapoor Khan provided a detailed and harrowing account of the attack on her husband, Saif Ali Khan, at their Bandra apartment in Mumbai. Speaking to the police, Kareena described the intruder as "very aggressive" and revealed that the attacker, despite his violent behavior, did not take any valuables from their home. According to Kareena, the assailant’s focus appeared to be entirely on Saif, as he stabbed him multiple times during the terrifying incident that unfolded on Thursday morning. Kareena's testimony is seen as crucial in piecing together the sequence of events leading to the attack.

The actor, visibly shaken, explained that the intruder had managed to reach the bedroom of their younger son, Jeh, before being spotted by their house help, Eliyama Philip, who raised the alarm. When Saif intervened to protect his family, he suffered six stab wounds, one of which was critically close to his thoracic spine. Kareena, who was present during the ordeal, emphasized that the intruder showed no signs of hesitation and seemed to have a clear and disturbing intent, which has left the family and investigators deeply alarmed.

Saif Ali Khan was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery to remove the knife and repair damage caused by the attack, including leaking spinal fluid. Doctors have confirmed that the actor is now in stable condition and out of danger, but his recovery is expected to take time due to the severity of his injuries. Two house helps also sustained injuries during the attack, further highlighting the brutal nature of the incident.

The investigation into the shocking crime has intensified, with the Mumbai Police forming 35 teams to track down the attacker. Authorities are reviewing hours of CCTV footage from railway stations and other public places across the city after it was reported that the suspect might have used a train from Bandra to flee the area. In the latest development, a new picture of the suspect has surfaced from CCTV footage, showing him in a yellow t-shirt—different from the black t-shirt he wore during the attack. Police believe the change in clothing was a deliberate attempt to evade identification.

Kareena's statement also aligns with earlier witness accounts, including details provided by Eliyama Philip, who described the suspect as a man aged around 35-40, of slim build, dark complexion, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, and wearing dark pants and a shirt with a cap on his head during the incident. The fact that the intruder managed to bypass security and reach the 12th floor of the building has raised serious concerns about the safety protocols in place. The Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA), led by President Ashoke Pandit, has condemned the attack as a massive security lapse, calling it “inhuman” and demanding swift justice.

Despite questioning several individuals, including a carpenter who resembled the suspect, no arrests have been made so far. The police are working on multiple leads, with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reassuring the public that the attacker will be apprehended soon. “We have gathered several clues, and our teams are working around the clock to ensure justice is served,” he said in a statement.

The incident has shocked Bollywood and sparked nationwide concern over the safety of high-profile individuals and their families. Fans and well-wishers of the Khan family have flooded social media with messages of support and prayers for Saif’s recovery. Meanwhile, the entertainment industry has rallied around the actor, with many calling for stricter security measures for celebrities and other public figures.

The chilling attack has left an indelible mark on the Khan family, and while Saif is on the path to physical recovery, the emotional trauma of such a violent encounter is likely to linger. As the police continue their pursuit of the attacker, all eyes remain on the investigation, with the public and industry insiders alike hoping for a swift resolution to this shocking and deeply unsettling case.
