Ahead of its January release, a leak of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series suggests the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip

As Samsung prepares to unveil its next-generation flagship lineup, the Galaxy S25 series, new leaks suggest exciting details about the upcoming smartphones. The latest rumors indicate that the Galaxy S25 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, marking a shift away from earlier speculations that the Galaxy S25+ could feature the Exynos 2500 SoC. A recent appearance of the international version of the Galaxy S25 (model number SM-S931B) on Geekbench strengthens the Snapdragon 8 Elite rumor.

The Galaxy S25, running Android 15, was spotted with 12GB of RAM on Geekbench, achieving scores of 2,986 in single-core and 9,355 in multi-core performance. While these results are slightly lower than those from other Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered devices, the listing likely represents a prototype version, and the final retail model is expected to deliver improved performance.

Beyond raw power, the Galaxy S25 series is expected to bring substantial upgrades in several key areas. The series is likely to feature an enhanced dynamic AMOLED display, potentially with a higher refresh rate for smoother visuals. Camera upgrades are also anticipated, with improved sensors and AI-powered features designed to provide better image quality across different lighting conditions.

Battery life is another focus, with rumors pointing to larger batteries and faster charging speeds to meet the demands of modern users. Samsung is reportedly prioritizing both efficiency and performance to offer an improved all-day experience.

The design of the S25 series is expected to retain its signature glass and metal body with improved durability, maintaining the premium feel the Galaxy S lineup is known for. In addition to the standard models, there's speculation about a new addition to the lineup: the Galaxy S25 Slim. While this model might not launch alongside the main devices, it could arrive later, offering a lighter, more compact alternative for those seeking a more portable option.

As the official release date draws nearer, Samsung enthusiasts and tech aficionados are eagerly awaiting confirmation of these details and a closer look at what promises to be a powerful and feature-packed flagship series.
