Both features were rolled out in late 2024 and are now available globally for Android 10 and newer devices, offering enhanced security in case of theft or unauthorized access.
Identity Check is currently rolling out to Pixel phones running Android 15 QPR1 stable and certain Samsung Galaxy devices with One UI 7. Google has made it easy for users to activate the feature by going to Settings > Google Services and Preferences > Select your primary Google account > All Services > Theft Protection. This update is being delivered via the Find My Device app or Play Services, making the process seamless and easy for users to implement.
For now, the feature is available only on selected devices, but Google has plans to expand it to other Android devices throughout the year.
