Price increases for Ram Charan's Game Changer tickets and special performances in Andhra Pradesh

The Andhra Pradesh government has approved a substantial hike in ticket prices for the much-anticipated film Game Changer, set to release during the Sankranti festival period. This decision comes as the film, starring Ram Charan, SJ Suryah, and Kiara Advani, prepares for a massive theatrical run.

From January 11 to 23, multiplex ticket prices will be increased by Rs 175 over the standard rate, while single-screen tickets are set to rise by Rs 135. The move is part of a broader strategy to capitalize on the festive period, which is traditionally known for high cinema footfalls. In addition, theatres will be allowed to host five shows a day during this window, further boosting opportunities for box office revenue.

A special provision has been made for the film's release on January 10, with a benefit show scheduled for 1:00 AM. Tickets for this special screening will be priced at Rs 600, a significant premium compared to regular showings. Additionally, six shows will be permitted starting from 4:00 AM, with ticket prices adjusted to reflect the festival price hike.

For the first 14 days of its release, Game Changer will see ticket prices of Rs 352 for multiplexes and Rs 282.50 for single screens, including GST. After the 14-day period, the prices will revert to Rs 177 for multiplexes and Rs 147 for single screens, returning to the normal rates.

These adjustments in ticket pricing and the extended number of screenings position Game Changer for a strong performance at the box office, especially considering the festive season’s potential to drive larger crowds to cinemas. However, its overall success will largely depend on audience reactions and word-of-mouth, with expectations high for both critical and commercial success during this highly competitive festival period.
