During his visit to the forward areas of the Sir Creek sector along the India-Pakistan border in Gujarat, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi conducted a comprehensive review of the formation’s operational readiness. His visit focused on assessing key infrastructure development projects and the integration of advanced technology aimed at enhancing India's defense capabilities in the region.
During his inspection, General Dwivedi engaged with personnel from multiple security agencies, including the Air Force, the Border Security Force (BSF), and the Coast Guard, underscoring the importance of seamless coordination and inter-agency synergy to bolster national security. He also observed a series of operational battle drills, which highlighted the high level of coordination and tactical efficiency among the armed forces.
On the occasion of the Coast Guard’s Raising Day, General Dwivedi extended his best wishes and commended the personnel for their unwavering dedication and service. While interacting with officers and troops stationed in the Creek region, he conducted a detailed assessment of their operational preparedness, emphasizing the growing emphasis on joint operations within the armed forces.
To further enhance surveillance and security in the Sir Creek area, the Coast Guard has deployed hovercrafts to conduct extensive patrolling. These hovercrafts play a crucial role in monitoring the region and preventing any infiltration attempts from the Pakistani side, thereby strengthening India’s coastal and border security measures.
