Early projections for Chhaava's fourth day at the box office: Vicky's movie will have a huge dip on Monday

Chhaava, the historical drama starring Vicky Kaushal, made a strong start at the box office, with a phenomenal opening weekend that garnered significant attention. However, after the impressive launch, the film experienced a noticeable dip in its collections on the first Monday. According to trade sources from India Today, the film is estimated to earn between Rs 10-12 crore nett on its fourth day, bringing its four-day total to an approximate Rs 126-128 crore nett.

The period drama opened with a strong Rs 31 crore nett on its release day, as reported by Sacnilk. Positive word-of-mouth helped fuel a rise in numbers on Saturday and Sunday, culminating in an exceptional weekend performance. This success marks Chhaava as Vicky Kaushal’s third film to enter the prestigious Rs 100 crore club, solidifying his position as a top-tier actor in the industry.

Chhaava has received praise for Kaushal’s dedicated portrayal of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, a pivotal historical figure. His performance has been widely appreciated for its sincerity and emotional depth, contributing significantly to the film’s success. In addition to Kaushal’s performance, Akshaye Khanna has been lauded for his portrayal of the antagonist, Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. The film also features notable performances from Rashmika Mandanna, Ashutosh Rana, Diana Penty, and Divya Dutta, who each add considerable value to the narrative with their well-executed roles.

Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava was released in theatres on February 14. Despite the slight drop in collections after the initial surge, the film's strong opening and steady performance over the weekend showcase its ability to resonate with audiences, especially fans of historical epics. As Chhaava continues its run, the film’s box office performance will be closely watched to see if it can maintain its momentum and build on its impressive opening.
