In Lucknow, two high court attorneys perish after their vehicle plunges into a pond

The tragic loss of two high court lawyers in Lucknow has deeply shocked the local legal community and the public alike. Kuldeep Kumar Awasthi, aged 40, and Shashank Singh, aged 37, were both prominent advocates practicing at the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court. Awasthi, who held the esteemed position of standing counsel, represented the government in various legal matters and was well-known for his dedication to his work. Singh, on the other hand, was a brief holder, a crucial role in preparing legal documents and assisting in case preparations. Both lawyers were highly respected in the legal fraternity, and their untimely death has left colleagues and friends grieving.

The incident occurred late on Friday night when the vehicle they were traveling in suddenly lost control while heading through the Chinhat police station area in Lucknow. The car veered off the road and plunged into a nearby pond. At the time of the accident, it was still unclear whether weather conditions, road hazards, or mechanical failure contributed to the car's loss of control.

On Saturday morning, concerned locals who had noticed the car submerged in the pond quickly alerted the authorities. Police, along with fire brigade personnel, rushed to the scene to launch an immediate rescue operation. The vehicle was located and pulled from the pond, but tragically, both Awasthi and Singh were found lifeless inside the car.

The bodies of the two lawyers were recovered and transported for post-mortem examinations to determine the exact cause of death. Police have opened an investigation into the circumstances leading up to the crash. Preliminary reports suggest that the car may have skidded, but further investigation is needed to confirm the exact details.

This incident has left the legal community in mourning. Many colleagues have expressed their grief on social media, sharing memories of their interactions with the two men. Their untimely deaths have also raised concerns about road safety, particularly for individuals traveling at night, and have prompted calls for improved safety measures to prevent such accidents in the future.

Both Awasthi and Singh are remembered fondly for their professional integrity and commitment to their work, and their deaths have left a void in the legal community. Family members, friends, and colleagues have paid tribute to them, with many offering condolences to their families during this difficult time. The investigation continues, and authorities are working to gather all necessary details to understand the cause of the accident.
