Novak Djokovic responds when Serena Williams dances to Kendrick Lamar songs during the Super Bowl

Novak Djokovic enjoyed Serena Williams’ dance moves during the Super Bowl. The tennis legend was among many who were captivated by Serena’s energetic and confident display during Kendrick Lamar’s halftime performance. On Sunday night, the Philadelphia Eagles went head-to-head against the Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans, with fans eagerly watching one of the most anticipated sporting events of the year.

The halftime show featured an electrifying performance by Kendrick Lamar, who was joined by American singer Solana Imani Row, better known as SZA, and acclaimed actor Samuel L. Jackson. While Lamar delivered a high-energy performance of his hit track Not Like Us, Serena Williams stole the spotlight with her dance moves. She effortlessly pulled off the iconic Crip Walk, a street dance that originated in the 1970s and was popularized by Crip member Robert "Sugar Bear" Jackson. Her performance quickly went viral on social media, with fans and celebrities reacting in excitement.

Novak Djokovic, clearly impressed by Serena’s moves, took to Instagram to share his reaction with a simple yet enthusiastic “Yeahhhh.” His reaction resonated with many fans, highlighting how even fellow elite athletes admire Serena’s charisma and confidence both on and off the court.

Several other tennis stars also chimed in with praise. Coco Gauff, the 2023 US Open champion, expressed her admiration with the slang term “ateee,” indicating that Serena had completely owned the moment. Venus Williams, Serena’s sister and longtime doubles partner, proudly commented, “You did that!” Meanwhile, the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) paid tribute to Serena’s enduring legacy by calling her the “Queen,” further solidifying her status as an icon beyond just the tennis world.

Beyond the halftime entertainment, the Super Bowl itself was a thrilling contest. The Philadelphia Eagles secured a decisive 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, marking their second Super Bowl title, the first one being in 2018. The Chiefs had entered the game with hopes of making history by becoming the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowls. However, the Eagles delivered a dominant performance, denying their opponents a historic three-peat. The Pittsburgh Steelers and the New England Patriots remain the most successful teams in Super Bowl history, with six titles each.

While Serena Williams made headlines for her dance moves, Novak Djokovic is preparing to make his long-awaited return to professional tennis. The Serbian legend, who was forced to withdraw from the Australian Open due to injury, is expected to compete in the upcoming Qatar Open. Djokovic recently provided an update on his recovery, stating that the injury he sustained in the semi-finals of the Australian Open has “almost 100 percent repaired.”

The injury setback was a major disappointment for Djokovic, who had been aiming for his historic 25th Grand Slam title. Unfortunately, he had to retire midway through his semi-final match against Germany’s Alexander Zverev after losing the first set. Zverev went on to finish as the tournament’s runner-up, falling short in the final.

If Djokovic competes in the Qatar Open, which is scheduled to take place from February 17 to 22, he will not only be making his return to the ATP Tour but will also have the opportunity to achieve another remarkable milestone—winning his 100th ATP title. Having already established himself as one of the greatest tennis players in history, Djokovic is determined to add another trophy to his collection.

Currently ranked No.7 in the world after losing his No.1 ranking to Italy’s Jannik Sinner during last year’s French Open, Djokovic remains focused on reclaiming his position at the top. His return to competitive action will be closely watched by fans and analysts alike, as the 24-time Grand Slam champion looks to regain momentum and continue his dominance on the ATP Tour.
