Actor Jr NTR and director Prashanth Neel have officially begun shooting for their much-anticipated film, tentatively titled NTR 31. The production house backing the project, Mythri Movie Makers, made the exciting announcement on social media, accompanied by a photo from the shooting sets. This collaboration between Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel has generated immense buzz, as fans eagerly await to see the magic unfold on the big screen.
The film, reportedly titled Dragon, is slated for a grand theatrical release on January 9, 2026. Mythri Movie Makers took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the thrilling update, writing, “The SOIL finally welcomes its REIGN to leave a MARK in the HISTORY books of Indian Cinema! #NTRNeel shoot has officially begun. A whole new wave of ACTION & EUPHORIA is ready to grip the Masses... MAN OF MASSES (sic).”
Jr NTR, who has been actively involved in the film’s pre-production process, reacted to the post and expressed his excitement, replying, “And it begins... #NTRNeel (sic).” This marks the actor’s first collaboration with Prashanth Neel, the celebrated filmmaker behind the blockbuster KGF franchise and Salaar.
The pre-production work for NTR 31 commenced earlier this year following a formal muhurat puja, with the team meticulously planning every aspect of the film. Reports suggest that the film will be a high-octane action entertainer set against a period backdrop. In a recent interview, Prashanth Neel confirmed that NTR 31 will be a period drama revolving around immigrants, promising an intense and gripping narrative.
