A missing person’s report was finally filed on February 3 — ten days after his disappearance — but by then, the unthinkable had already happened.
According to the police investigation, Jagdeep was ambushed by his attackers, who tied his hands and legs and sealed his mouth with tape to silence him. Helpless, he was transported to a remote, desolate field where a deep, seven-foot pit had been meticulously prepared in advance. Shockingly, the accused had deceived a local laborer, claiming the pit was meant for a borewell — a sinister ploy to mask their deadly intent. Jagdeep was then thrown into the pit alive and buried under layers of soil, left to suffocate.
