India's October–November schedule includes three ODIs and five T20Is in Australia

The Indian men’s and women’s cricket teams are gearing up for an exciting and challenging tour of Australia during the 2025-26 season, with Cricket Australia officially announcing the fixtures on Sunday, March 30. The tour will see both teams competing in a mix of ODIs, T20Is, and a landmark pink-ball Test match for the women’s team. The Indian men’s team will engage in a three-match ODI series followed by a five-match T20I series, while the women’s team will take part in three ODIs, three T20Is, and a historic day-night Test at the WACA in Perth.

The men’s team’s tour will be crucial in the build-up to the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, which will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka. India will play eight matches in different venues across Australia between October 19 and November 8, testing their squad depth in a variety of conditions. With Australia being one of the toughest places to tour, this will be an important assignment for the Indian team as they look to strengthen their squad and fine-tune their strategies ahead of the global T20 tournament.

For the first time in history, the Australian men's team will play international cricket in every single state and territory during the home summer. As part of this initiative, India's T20I matches in Canberra and Hobart will mark a significant milestone, expanding the sport’s reach beyond the traditional cricketing strongholds of Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.

Alongside India’s tour, Australia will also be hosting South Africa in a white-ball series in August, consisting of three ODIs and three T20Is. Additionally, Australia will travel to New Zealand and Pakistan for T20I series in October and February, respectively, as they prepare for the T20 World Cup. With so much focus on the shortest format of the game, the Australian cricket team will be looking to experiment with combinations and test out their best T20 talent before heading into the marquee ICC event.

The women’s tour of Australia will be equally significant, with a three-match T20I series scheduled for February 15-21, followed by a three-match ODI series from February 24 to March 1. The highlight of the tour will be a much-anticipated one-off Test match, which will be a pink-ball, day-night encounter at the iconic WACA in Perth from March 6-9. This is a major step forward in the growth of women’s Test cricket, as more bilateral series now include red-ball cricket alongside white-ball formats.

Cricket Australia has also confirmed that the Ashes series between Australia and England will take place following India's men's tour. The five-Test Ashes series will begin with the opening Test in Perth from November 21-25, followed by a day-night Test in Brisbane. The traditional Boxing Day Test will be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), while the final match of the series will be hosted at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) in early January.
