The makers of Thudarum unveiled the trailer of the highly anticipated Malayalam film on Wednesday across social media platforms. Starring the legendary Mohanlal alongside the iconic Shobana, the trailer promises an engaging crime thriller infused with comedy and drama — a combination that has long been a hallmark of Lalettan’s films.
The trailer opens with a seemingly ordinary man whose life takes an unexpected, chaotic turn after his car is confiscated by the police. His attempts to retrieve his vehicle lead him back to the station repeatedly, but each visit pulls him deeper into a web of mystery. What starts as a quest to reclaim his car spirals into an unforeseen entanglement in a crime scene that no one, including him, saw coming.
Directed by Tharun Moorthy, known for his nuanced storytelling, the film’s screenplay is co-written by Moorthy himself alongside KR Sunil. The plot draws inspiration from Sunil’s real-life encounter with a mysterious man during one of his journeys — an experience that left a lasting impression, now shaping the heart of Thudarum.
