Subject: Urgent Plea from a Startup Founder in Burhanpur

Dear Mr. Goyal,

I run BizProspex (Prospex Network Pvt. Ltd.), a 100-employee IT company based in Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh. We generate over $1 million annually, contribute significantly to the local economy, and are the largest white-collar employer in the city.

Despite this, we face:

  1. Bureaucratic harassment — constant bribe demands from various departments.

  2. Unreliable electricity — frequent outages cripple our work with global clients.

  3. No local support — we’re forced to travel 60 km for basic compliance, and despite writing to your office, the PMO, and local officials, we received no meaningful help.

I started this company in Mumbai in 2013 and shifted to Burhanpur to build opportunities in my hometown. Today, I regret that decision. The system here treats entrepreneurs like criminals. If this continues, I’ll be forced to shut down operations, leaving over 100 people jobless.

Is this the “Startup India” we were promised?

Please take immediate action to address corruption, improve infrastructure, and ensure support for startups in small-town India. Without it, we’re losing not just businesses—but hope.

Sincerely,
Murtaza Amin
Founder & Director, BizProspex
Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh
