Google is supercharging its Gemini Live AI assistant with the real-time camera and screen-sharing support, taking it far beyond a basic voice interaction tool. These new features mark a significant leap, making Gemini Live more visual, interactive, and hands-on — effectively turning your phone into a smarter, AI-powered assistant that can see and help in real-time.
For now, this next-gen experience is rolling out to Pixel 9 and Samsung Galaxy S25 users who subscribe to Gemini Advanced (part of the Google One AI Premium Plan at $20/month). But support is coming soon to more Android devices running version 10.0 or higher, including tablets and foldables.
How to Use the New Features
-
Update your Gemini app to the latest version.
-
Ensure you're subscribed to Gemini Advanced via the Google One AI Premium Plan.
-
Open Gemini Live, where you’ll see two new icons:
-
📷 Camera Icon (left): Share live video from your front or rear camera.
-
📱 Screen Share Icon (right): Broadcast your entire phone screen in real time.
-
This means no more struggling to describe a tech issue or a cluttered room — just show Gemini directly, and get real-time, contextual help.
What You Can Do with the New Gemini Live
Google outlined several use cases that highlight how useful these features can be:

Languages and Accessibility
Gemini Live currently supports over 45 languages, reinforcing Google's aim to make AI helpful and accessible to a global user base. By giving Gemini the ability to see and interact, Google is pushing the assistant beyond text and voice — toward being a true visual collaborator.
