Producer Ramesh Taurani of Tips Films has stepped forward to address the swirling rumours surrounding the casting of Race 4, the much-anticipated next chapter in the high-octane Race franchise. Amid a flurry of speculative reports and social media buzz claiming several stars had joined the ensemble, Taurani has officially set the record straight.
In a clear and concise statement, the veteran producer confirmed that only Saif Ali Khan and Sidharth Malhotra are in talks for the film at this point. He emphasized that the project is still in its scripting stage, and no other male or female actors have been approached as yet.
“We would like to clarify that we are currently in discussions only with Saif Ali Khan and Sidharth Malhotra for the next installment of the Race franchise (Race 4), which is currently in its scripting phase. No other male or female actors have been approached at this stage. We sincerely request the media and social media pages to avoid engaging with false news and to wait for an official confirmation from our PR team,” Taurani said via a statement from the production house.
This clarification comes amid online chatter linking names like Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, and John Abraham to the film. While these reports generated excitement, Taurani’s message makes it clear that casting is far from finalized.
The Race franchise, which kicked off in 2008 with Abbas-Mustan's stylish thriller starring Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, and Bipasha Basu, has evolved into one of Bollywood’s most successful action series. The second film continued with Saif in the lead, while the third saw a complete revamp, with Salman Khan and Remo D’Souza taking the reins — although it received a mixed response.
With Saif Ali Khan possibly returning, Race 4 could mark a nostalgic pivot back to the franchise’s roots, with the addition of Sidharth Malhotra potentially injecting a new-age flair to the action-packed narrative.
