Shah Rukh Khan took to X (formerly Twitter), stating, “Words fail to express the sadness and anger at the treachery and inhumane act of violence that has occurred in Pahalgam. In times like these, one can only turn to God and say a prayer for the families that suffered and express my deepest condolences. May we as a Nation, stand united, strong and get justice against this heinous act (sic).”
Similarly, Salman Khan expressed his heartbreak over the tragic loss of innocent lives, writing, "Kashmir, heaven on planet heart, turning into hell. Innocent people being targeted, my heart goes out to their families. Ek bhi innocent ko marna puri kainath ko marne ke barabar hai (Taking the life of even one innocent is equivalent to destroying the entire universe) (sic)."
The two actors were among several other public figures from the entertainment industry and political arena who condemned the attack, including Allu Arjun, Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor, and Akshay Kumar, all of whom expressed shock and anger at the senseless violence. Many celebrities and citizens tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling for swift justice for the victims and their grieving families.
In the aftermath of the attack, security agencies have released images and sketches of the suspected terrorists believed to be behind the assault in Kashmir's Pahalgam. The individuals have been identified as Asif Fuji, Suleman Shah, and Abu Talha, and the attack has been claimed by a shadowy militant group linked to the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba.
