On April 24, the Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award will be presented to Kumar Mangalam Birla for his visionary leadership and contributions to India’s growth, at a grand ceremony in Mumbai. The event will take place at the Deenanath Mangeshkar Auditorium in Vile Parle East at 6:30 PM, and the honours will be conferred by RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat.
Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman of the Aditya Birla Group and a Padma Bhushan awardee, is being recognised for his influential role in steering India’s industrial and economic progress. This prestigious award, instituted in 2022 in memory of the legendary Lata Mangeshkar, continues to celebrate excellence across fields.

This year’s ceremony also marks the 83rd Memorial Day of Pandit Deenanath Mangeshkar, father of Lata Mangeshkar. The awards are presented annually by the Master Deenanath Mangeshkar Smruti Pratishthan, a charitable trust run by the Mangeshkar family for over 35 years.
Past recipients of the award include Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amitabh Bachchan, and Asha Bhosale, reflecting its stature as a celebration of national legacy and excellence in public life.
